8 April 2013, 9:30am - 4:00pm
SANTRUST, a registered educational trust in South Africa, has engaged in PhD Foundation training in S Africa since 1999 across the spectrum of development-related disciplines.
It is currently focusing in particular on Nursing and Health Sciences in response to the key challenges that face South Africa’s capacity within this sector. Drawing on appropriate expertise from Ireland, this initiative will be a catalyst for the development of academic and supervisory capacity to ensure a critical mass of high level nurse educators and the production of research in this critical area.
Prospective Irish academic facilitators must hold a relevant doctoral qualification, and have prior experience in supervising doctoral candidates.
If you are interested in exploring this important initiative further, you are cordially invited to the above planning workshop at which the guest speakers will be Dr Anshu Padayachee (CEO of SANTRUST) and Charmaine Williamson (Academic Coordinator).
