Today, on International Human Rights Day, we remember our good friend and global solidarity activist Dympna Meaney. Dympna's untimely death on 10 December 1991 robbed us of a great champion in the fight for gender equality and human rights.

Each year the Dympna Meaney Women's Leadership Development Fund awards skills building bursaries to human rights activists in the global south. The fund seeks to connect women leaders from Africa, Asia, and/or Central or South America with skills building opportunities that strengthen their contribution to global human rights and equality.

Applications are now open for the fund. Please note these are to be be submitted by Friday 29th March 2019.
