Dochas are sharing their 26 county-specific manifestos with all election candidates and engaging with leaders and directors of elections in all political parties to share their Election Manifesto. This tool aims to make overseas development a local issue of importance for candidates, and can be shared widely.
Thry are calling on candidates (and a new Government) to realise Ireland’s commitment to spend 0.7% of GNI on Overseas Development Assistance by 2030 and publish a clear spending pathway to achieve this. Their five key priority areas of action for a programme for Government are:

- End Hunger for People and Planet
- Promote Peace, Stability and Effective Humanitarian Response
- Policy coherence for Sustainable Development
