The Development Studies Association of Ireland is seeking to recruit an intern to work on the organisation and administration of the DSAI Annual Conference 2017 with the Conference organising team, part-time for a period of two months. The DSAI’s Annual Conference is held in November every year. The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Development through Rights: Theory, Policy and Practice in a Changing International Context.’ The conference will be held in Dublin on 23-24 November.
The intern will provide administrative and event coordination assistance to the DSA Secretariat and Conference Organising Committee, as well as web and social media communications support. The intern will be based at Trinity College Dublin, working alongside the DSAI Coordinator, for 3.5 days per week. Hours can be flexible to suit other commitments but availability is particularly required in the time coming up to the Annual Conference on 23 and 24 November.
Applicants should send a Curriculum Vitae and one page Cover Letter to Mairéad Finn, DSAI Coordinator, at info@dsaireland.org by Friday 6th October 2017 at 12:00. Applications received after this time will not be considered. The cover letter should include details on relevant experience, interest in the position, and in the Conference theme.
Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application on Wednesday 11th October, with interviews to be held on Friday 13th via Skype.
