Public panel discussion and Q&A on integrating conflict sensitivity and the importance of adaptive approaches in humanitarian programming
Violent conflict is one of the leading causes of humanitarian crises. Violence is also leading to more protracted and complex environments where linear and immediate responses are not always adequate.
This panel discussion brings together academics and practitioners to discuss approaches and experiences that respond to both immediate needs and longer term needs in a more holistic way, drawing specifically from efforts to integrate conflict sensitivity as well as flexible, adaptive frameworks.
All welcome.
Panellists:
Drew Mikhael, Centre for the Study of Ethnic Conflict, Queens University Belfast
Alice Obrecht, Senior Research Fellow, ALNAP Overseas Development Institute
