Join us for the official launch of the DCU Institute for Research on Genders and Sexualities
We are delighted to invite you to the official launch of the DCU Institute for Research on Genders and Sexualities (IRGS), a dynamic new research hub dedicated to exploring and addressing the urgent issues of gender and sexuality in political, social, cultural, and technological contexts.
Bringing together scholars from diverse disciplines, IRGS fosters collaborative research on critical topics such as gender and migration, pornography, misogyny and anti-feminism, gendered disinformation, trans rights, bioethics, gender and AI, and relationships and sexuality education. Aligned with DCU’s commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, the Institute is committed to research that promotes inclusivity and social impact.
To mark this exciting launch, we are honored to welcome renowned feminist activist and academic Prof. Ailbhe Smyth as our guest speaker, alongside insightful contributions from Bulelani Mfaco and Dr. Arpita Chakraborty.
