The DSAI Gender Study Group invite you to join this webinar where we will address issues and challenges regarding gender-based violence in Ireland. Dr Anne O’Brien, Associate Professor, Head of Department of Media Studies, Maynooth University will talk about media representation and public discourses on domestic violence. Dr Nasrin Khandoker will share insights from her research in the GBV-MIG project at NUIG, which is a seven-country project examining the experience of women and other migrants for whom vulnerability to Gender-based Violence (GBV) is a significant concern. Our discussant is Dr Caroline Williamson Sinalo is lecturer in World Languages at University College Cork together with Dr Céire Broderick, the co-convener of the Violence, Conflict and Gender research cluster, in UCC’s Centre for Advanced Studies in Languages and Cultures (CASiLaC).
