The Humanitarian Action Study Group of the Development Studies Association of Ireland (DSA Ireland) are pleased to announce the first of its Autumn seminars, on the topic of International Law and Disasters. Topics and speakers at this event will include:

- 'Human Rights and Disaster Risk Reduction' - Dr. Karen Da Costa, Research Associate, Faculty of Law, University College, London;
- 'Compliance with Legal Frameworks in Disaster Settings' - Ronan McDermott, Ph.D Researcher, Centre for Humanitarian Action, School of Agriculture and Food Science, University College, Dublin.
