Changing Climates; Challenges in Research and Development

16-17 June 2021 (9:30am - 17:00pm Irish GMT)

The annual DSAI Summer School took place virtually on 16-17 June 2021 hosted by the DSAI Climate & Development Study Group in collaboration with Maynooth University.  The Summer School provided a focussed 2-day programme of workshops exploring research methods for development, engaging NGOs, Policy Makers, and Academics both as contributors to the programme and as participants. Connecting research, policy and practice the programme brings together international experts through interactive sessions for professional development. Participants received certificate of completion.

Following the Summer School, hosts and organisers Gerard Maguire and Ciara Finnegan, along with MU media student Jack Madden produced the Podcast Series 'Reflections by the Development Studies Association of Ireland: Changing Climates Summer School 2021'.

In this podcast series, Gerard Maguire and Ciara Finnegan sit down with Summer School speakers and participants to reflect and elaborate on topics discussed during sessions, project forward on the trajectory of a variety of areas and fields of research and sum up the overall experience of the DSAI Summer School 2021.
