Best student paper 2015
We are delighted to announce that the winner of the prize for the Best Student Paper Award presented at the 2015 Annual Conference is Sol Moure for her paper "Pasture development in Kenya's drylands".
The judges commended the paper for its basis in empirical fieldwork, design and writing.
Sol Moure studied International Relations and Linguistics as first degrees and is currently a second-year student of the Master in Development Practice in Trinity College Dublin/University College Dublin, in Ireland. Her passion for development studies comes from a life-long experience of sustainable development practice and its demons, living and sharing with some of the most marginalized communities in the rainy mountains of south-east Mexico; the coast of Paraná in Brazil; the Mayan region in the Yucatan Peninsula and the semi-arid pastoral communities around lake Baringo, in Kenya.
